Where is Bhutan?
Bhutan is located in the Eastern Himalayas perched between two of the biggest countries in the world, India to the South and China to the North. It is of a size of Switzerland with just over 38, 398 sq kilometers. It lies between 88° 45’ and 92°10’ longitude east and 26°40’ and 28° 15’ latitude north. It is a hilly country except for the Southern Foothills with some small flat strips.
In the South, Bhutan shares borders with the Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and West Bengal while in the North it shares a Border with Tibet, erstwhile independent country, which is now under the rule of China.
